La Fleur Solitaire Blanc from Domaine Boutinot is a medium-bodied, elegant white Côtes du Rhône. Crafted from Grenache Blanc (50%), Viognier (20%), and co-fermented pairs of Roussanne/Marsanne and Bourboulenc/Clairette (30%), it showcases the finesse and freshness of Southern Rhône whites. The subtle oak influence adds creaminess and texture without compromising the wine’s lively vibrancy.

Meet the Producer

Domaine Boutinot has been making wines in the Southern Rhône for over 30 years. Their focus on careful vineyard selection and traditional vinification ensures each white wine reflects the character of its terroir while remaining approachable and food-friendly.

Production

Grapes are hand-picked in the early morning for gentle pressing and low-temperature fermentation. Just under a third of the wine is vinified and matured in French oak barrels (mostly 3rd fill, some new) for six months to provide additional texture and structure. The remaining portion is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and bright aromatics.

Tasting Notes

A proper white Côtes du Rhône: fresh, vinous, and refined. The nose is delicate, with hints of fennel tops and hedgerow flowers, while the palate is nuanced and textured, with a subtle oak creaminess enhancing its medium-bodied profile. A beautifully balanced wine that is elegant yet approachable.
