Vineyard & Production

The fruit is manually harvested from 25 year old vines rooted in the classic schist soils of the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior sub-regions. Following a meticulous field selection, the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation which is stopped at the optimal moment by the addition of premium grape brandy. The wine is then left to mature for ten years in historic oak casks, some over forty years old, where it gently mellows through controlled oxidation to acquire its signature depth and character.
