Robertson wine is shaped by limestone soils, warm days and cooling breezes from the Breede River that help Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz develop freshness, texture and purity. This creates balanced wines linked to the valley’s bright, sunlit terroir.

Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc lead the whites, while Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the reds. The region is also known for high quality Cap Classique sparkling wines.

Limestone soils and a warm yet moderated climate allow Chardonnay to develop ripe fruit, natural acidity and a distinctive mineral edge. These conditions have made Robertson one of South Africa’s benchmark regions for the grape.

Many Robertson Chardonnays and Shiraz based reds age beautifully, gaining depth and complexity. Premium Cap Classique also develops richness and finesse over time.
