Meet the producer
Bodegas Ontañón is a fifth-generation, family-owned winery in Rioja Oriental (formerly Rioja Baja), where Raquel and Rubén Ontañón continue the family tradition of crafting refined, expressive Rioja wines.

Production
Made from Tempranillo (85%) and Graciano (15%) grapes sourced from La Pasada Vineyard at 700–800m altitude. The wine matures for 36 months in a combination of American and French oak, followed by 24 months in bottle before release, allowing full integration and complexity.

Tasting notes
A beautifully developed Rioja showing aromas of dark fruit, red cherry, spice, tobacco, and mocha. The palate is layered and structured, with black fruit, spice, and subtle toasty oak, supported by smooth, resolved tannins, leading to a long and elegant finish.
