Vineyard and Production

Sourced from Klein Constantia's vineyards in the Constantia Valley, benefiting from granitic soils and cooling sea breezes that bring freshness and balance. The blend draws on classic Bordeaux varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec at its core, alongside smaller proportions of other grapes. Hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented in stainless steel, before maturation in French oak barrels for around 12 to 18 months to integrate tannins and develop complexity.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in colour with aromas of blackcurrant, plum and dark cherry, with hints of cedar, graphite and spice. The palate is structured yet supple, with ripe tannins supporting flavours of cassis, red berry fruit and subtle oak. The finish is long, elegant and finely balanced.

Perfect Pairings

Pairs beautifully with roast lamb, beef dishes, venison or rich vegetarian options like mushroom ragu. Also excellent with grilled steak, aged cheeses or hearty stews. Serve at 16 to 18 degrees.
