Meet the producer

Gergenti is dedicated to producing wines that express the essence of Sicily’s diverse terroirs. Through careful vineyard management and traditional techniques, the winery creates wines that balance richness, freshness, and a strong sense of place.

Production

The grapes are grown on hillside vineyards and left on the vines for a few extra days after reaching maturity to achieve greater concentration and aromatic depth. After fermentation, the wine is aged for six months in large oak barrels, developing structure, roundness, and complexity while maintaining its vibrant fruit character.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red in colour, Il Vero Siciliano opens with aromas of ripe red fruits and subtle spice. The palate is soft and full-bodied, offering layers of cherry, plum, and wild berries balanced by gentle tannins and a smooth, lingering finish.
