Vineyard & Production

The grapes are hand-harvested from narrow, dramatically steep stone terraces situated in the village of Tupin-et-Semons, where the soils consist mainly of decomposed gneiss rock. The vineyard tasks are carried out entirely by hand due to the extreme incline. In the cellar, the fruit is mostly destemmed and undergoes a three-week temperature-controlled fermentation in vats. The wine is aged for approximately 20 months in oak barriques and larger demi-muid barrels (around 20% new oak), allowing the cuvée to acquire subtle textural weight and integrated structure without masking its delicate varietal aromatics.
