The Caparrone Pecorino, by Colline Pescaresi is a fresh and zesty white from Abruzzo’s Adriatic coast. Bright and lively, it offers stone fruit, citrus, and grapefruit aromas, with a crisp palate of peachy, tropical fruit, and minerality, all balanced by vibrant acidity.

Meet the Producer

Azienda Agricola Contesa, led by Rocco Pasetti and his son Franco, is a pioneering estate in the Collecorvino hills northwest of Pescara. Their 50-hectare vineyard is perfectly sited for Pecorino, producing wines that are consistently pure, expressive, and elegant.

Production

Grapes are sourced from the Caparrone district, grown on hillside vineyards west of Pescara. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 2 months on lees, allowing freshness and texture to develop while preserving the varietal character.

Aromas of stone fruit, citrus, and grapefruit lead to a crisp, zesty palate with layered peachy and tropical fruit notes. The wine shows minerality, texture, and lively acidity, giving depth and approachability.
