Founded in 1930, Chateau Musar is a family‑run estate now led by the third generation of the Hochar family. Their philosophy of low‑intervention winemaking and deep respect for the Bekaa Valley’s unique terroir has earned them a devoted global following. Each vintage is crafted with patience, individuality and a commitment to authenticity.

Production

Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan are harvested by hand from mature, low‑yielding vineyards. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats, followed by ageing in French oak barrels. After blending, the wine rests further in bottle before release, allowing its complex layers to knit together naturally.

Tasting Notes

The 2019 opens with aromas of red cherry, plum, dried herbs and warm spice, lifted by subtle notes of cedar and earth. The palate is supple yet structured, offering vibrant red and dark fruit, hints of tobacco and savoury depth.
