Les Crus du Sud 2021 is a Grenache-led, elegant red from Gigondas, expressing the mineral structure and finesse of the southern Rhône. With a blend of Grenache Noir (70%), Mourvèdre (15%), and Syrah (15%), it offers vibrant red fruit, subtle garrigue aromatics, and a silky, balanced palate.

Boutinot France has a long history of sourcing and crafting exceptional Southern Rhône wines. Their selection of Les Crus du Sud represents a handpicked collection of the best plots, showcasing the unique terroirs of the Dentelles du Montmirail.

Production

Grapes come from the lower rocky limestone slopes and higher cooler vineyards of Gigondas, which benefit from stony soils, morning sun, and northerly aspects that slow ripening and enhance complexity. The wine is fermented in traditional 20hl concrete vats and matured for 12 months in French oak to integrate structure and spice while preserving varietal freshness.

Delicate garrigue and mint notes on the nose give way to a silky, structured palate. Fresh red fruit flavours are complemented by subtle spice, creating a harmonious and approachable Gigondas with powerful yet elegant character.
