Bollinger Rosé is a distinctive non-vintage Champagne, crafted from 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, and 14% Meunier, with over 85% of grapes sourced from Grands and Premiers Crus. This rosé demonstrates Bollinger’s mastery of blending and red-winemaking techniques, including the vinification of a small proportion (5–6%) of Pinot Noir as a red wine to add depth, structure, and a powerful element to the final cuvée. The result is a salmon-hued Champagne with notable complexity, combining freshness, vivacity, and a velvety mousse.

Production

Grapes are hand-picked and vinified with careful attention to detail. A portion of Pinot Noir is fermented as red wine before blending, adding structure and tannic depth. The cuvée undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and is aged on lees for an extended period, developing texture, aromatic complexity, and finesse.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows a bronze, salmon-pink colour. The nose reveals aromas of red currant, cherry, and wild strawberry with subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet elegant, offering structure, length, depth, and vivacity, with a tannic finish and lingering wild berry flavours. Sweet red fruits are complemented by gentle woody and vanilla hints, resulting in a multifaceted and complex Champagne.
