The Biscardo Family have been crafting wines in Soave for over 150 years, now led by brothers Maurizio and Martino. Maurizio’s extensive career includes consulting for prominent wineries across Italy, during which he discovered the vineyards used for their Puglian wines. Both their Pugliese and Veneto wines are known for irresistible drinkability, aromatic purity, and excellent value.

Viticulture

Grapes are harvested in late autumn, by which time they have naturally shrivelled on the vine, beginning the drying process.

Winemaking

Using the appassimento method, grapes are left to dry in baskets until December after careful manual harvest and selection. Air circulation prevents mould formation. At the end of December, maceration occurs slowly at low temperatures, and the wine remains on its lees until March, enhancing texture and complexity.

Tasting Note

This wine shows a poised and perfectly balanced profile, with intense purple-black colour. The bouquet is harmonious, displaying red and black berries, while soft, sweet tannins provide a lingering finish.
