Wine Making The Meerlust Red 2019 a blend of 86 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 14 % Merlot grown on the historic Meerlust Estate in Stellenbosch. The wine was selected and blended for early drinkability but will reward maturation up to 8 years from vintage.
Tasting Notes The wine is intense ruby red in colour and has a deep purple hue. The nose has intense cassis and plum notes with the characteristic Meerlust minerality and hints of Indian ink, chocolate and fennel.
