Tarquins The Cornish Crocus Gin 42% 70cl

Tarquin's The Cornish Crocus has been made using saffron grown on the Roseland peninsula by Brian and Margaret Eyers. 20,000 crocus flowers where planted and their stigmas harvested by hand. The result adds a distinct yellow/orange hue to the gin that, when combined with rose petals and almonds, adds a middle eastern twist to this Cornish Gin. Tarquin Leadbetter has spared no expense on the exotic botanicals used in this gin with saffron costing an eye watering £40 a gram - more than gold even! Equipped with his two traditional copper stills that are heated by a naked flame, it's no wonder that Tarquin has become the self made gin wizard of Cornwall and very possibly the UK.

Originally created for Valentine's Day 2017, this gin has an intense aromatic nose with exotic flowers, freshly ground nuts, pine and citrus fruits. This has now been re-released just in time for Valentine's Day 2018. The palate opens with juniper pine leading to honeyed flowers and exotic spices balanced with refreshing citrus.

This is just one of an ever expanding stable of gins from Tarquin and you can explore the full range of Tarquin's gins here.
