Sea Buck was invented in St Ives. From a shared passion for exceptional ingredients and experiences led Pablo and Charlie to use Cornish spring water infused with quinine-producing cinchona bark to create something a little bit different for their customers.
The eureka moment came when Pablo added a dash of sea-berry juice to the mix. Sea buckthorn grows against the odds on the wind-blown, sea-sprayed dunes of Gwithian and the citrusy zing of its berries resulted in a very special tonic: wild, refined and totally without bitterness.
The carbonated spring water in Sea Buck Tonic is collected straight from its source on the moors of the Cornwall peninsula. It’s full of minerals and tastes clean and alive.
Sea Buck Tonic is golden in colour because quinine is extracted naturally from cinchona bark.
Sea Buck’s signature taste comes from the juice of sea buckthorn berries. Tiny and vividly orange, these berries have an intense taste that is citrusy with a note of passion fruit. They also happen to be the super-food responsible for astronaut health, Genghis Kahn’s battle success and the flight of Pegasus. But those are other stories.
