Vineyard and Production.

Sourced from Paarl vineyards grown on sandy loam soils in the Western Cape. Early picking is central to winemaker JD Rossouw's approach, preserving the vibrant fruit character and freshness that define this wine. Both cultivar and site are allowed to speak without intervention, with natural fermentation used throughout.

Tasting Notes.

A deeply varietal nose of dark cherry and chocolate over crushed minerals with a lifted leafy note. The palate is generously laden with dark plum and chocolate, carried through to a long, velveteen finish.

Perfect Pairings.

An excellent match for baked mushrooms stuffed with sundried tomato couscous, grilled meats, roasted vegetables and aged cheeses. Also well suited to lamb, duck and hearty weeknight stews.
