Vineyard & Production

Grapes are sourced from a mix of alluvial soils over papa silt and gravel in Marlborough's Awatere and Wairau Valleys, with river stones enhancing drainage and concentration. These low-yielding sites, combined with meticulous vineyard management, produce grapes of exceptional quality and flavour. The 2024 harvest benefitted from low winter rainfall and cooler flowering conditions, which reduced yields and increased concentration. Marlborough's classic warm days and cool nights allowed the fruit to ripen fully while preserving vibrant acidity. Grapes were gently pressed and cool-fermented to retain their aromatic profile, with selected components aged briefly on lees to add mid-palate weight and texture.
