Tempos Vega Sicilia is Spain’s most iconic winery, revered for its legacy of excellence and precision. Located in Ribera del Duero, the estate combines tradition with innovation, crafting wines that are both timeless and expressive. Valbuena 5º represents the estate’s commitment to purity and balance, aged for five years in oak and bottle to achieve its signature depth.

Production

The 2020 vintage was shaped by two defining events: the global impact of Covid, which demanded new protective measures and strengthened team spirit, and heavy pre-harvest rainfall, which required vigilant vineyard management to ensure grape concentration. Grapes were manually harvested in 12 kg boxes between 21 September and 5 October. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels, 12 months in vat, six months in stainless steel, and 18 months in bottle. Bottling took place in May 2023, with a total production of 186,286 Bordeaux bottles, 5,673 Magnums, 400 Double Magnums, 35 Imperials, and 5 Salmanazars.
