Meet the producer
Founded in 1959 as a co-operative, Bodegas Borsao has become one of Spain’s most respected Garnacha specialists. In 2001, the winery joined forces with two other progressive cellars, combining tradition with modern winemaking expertise to produce wines of remarkable quality and value.

Production
Fruit is sourced from Borsao’s oldest vines, up to 60 years old, rooted in poor clay and limestone soils at 600–700 metres altitude in the Alto Moncayo. Low yields of under 4.5 tonnes per hectare ensure intensity and concentration. After temperature-controlled fermentation (25–30ºC) with 20–25 days’ skin contact, the wine matures for 5 months in new French oak barriques, adding depth and complexity.

Tasting notes
An intense bouquet of ripe red fruits and floral notes, typical of Garnacha at its finest. The palate is rich and generous, packed with bramble, strawberry, and raspberry fruit, layered with warm vanilla, liquorice, and spice. Supple yet structured tannins lead to a long, expansive finish.
