Salmos is a distinguished red wine from the rugged Priorat region of Catalonia, crafted by Familia Torres. This unique landscape, marked by steep slopes and llicorella (slate) soils, endures extreme temperature swings between day and night. These demanding conditions give the wine its remarkable depth, intensity, and character.

Familia Torres, one of Spain’s most respected wine producers, combines centuries of heritage with innovative winemaking. With Salmos, they honour the legacy of the Carthusian monks who cultivated vines in Priorat over 800 years ago, while crafting a contemporary expression of this iconic terroir.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red in colour, Salmos reveals aromas of ripe black fruits, balsamic notes, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is powerful yet elegant, with concentrated flavours of blackberry and plum supported by well-integrated oak. Firm tannins and lively acidity lead to a long, mineral-tinged finish that reflects the slate soils of Priorat.

Food Pairing
