Distillery & Maturation

Tomatin Distillery was founded in 1897 in the village of Tomatin in the Scottish Highlands, sitting at over 1,000 feet above sea level in the Monadhliath Mountains. The 12 Year Old is matured in a combination of traditional ex-bourbon barrels and sherry casks, each contributing a distinct layer of character to the final whisky. Bottled at 40% ABV.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with fresh apple and pear, underpinned by hints of malted barley and a touch of honey. On the palate, it is rounded and mellow, revealing flavours of soft orchard fruit, creamy vanilla, and a gentle nuttiness from the sherry cask influence.
