Vineyard & Production

Fruit was machine harvested in the cool of the night to preserve freshness, then transported swiftly to the winery for gentle pressing with minimal skin contact. The must was chilled for 48 hours before being racked to 100% stainless steel tanks, where fermentation took place at cool temperatures to lock in the wine's vibrant aromatics and varietal character.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with classic blackcurrant bud and freshly cut thyme, with tropical notes of passion fruit and melon from the Wairau Valley fruit. Mineral and saline nuances from the Blind River sub-region add an elegant layer of complexity, while a fine, precise line of acidity carries the palate to a clean, refreshing finish.
