Siesta is the personal project of renowned Argentine winemaker Ernesto Catena, whose biodynamic philosophy and artistic vision shape every bottle. The Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is sourced from high-altitude plots in Mendoza, offering a bold yet refined expression of Argentina’s flagship red grape.

Viticulture

Grown in the Uco Valley at elevations exceeding 1,000 metres, the vineyard benefits from intense sunlight, cool nights, and well-drained alluvial soils. Biodynamic farming practices are employed to enhance soil vitality and vine balance, with minimal intervention and respect for natural rhythms.

Winemaking

Hand-harvested grapes are fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels for 12–14 months. The approach is gentle and precise, allowing the vineyard’s character to shine through while building structure and ageing potential.

Tasting Note

Deep ruby in colour. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, and subtle spice. The palate is concentrated and elegant, with firm tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, savoury finish.
