Meet the producer

For over 200 years, the Schmitt family has been producing wine in the small village of Longuich, nestled along the Mosel River. Their deep-rooted commitment to quality winemaking and respect for tradition have established Schmitt Söhne as one of Germany’s most recognised producers, renowned for approachable, well-balanced Rieslings that express the character of their terroir.

Production

Grapes are carefully harvested from steep, sunlit vineyards overlooking the Mosel. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The wine is bottled young to capture the Riesling’s natural vibrancy and bright fruit character.

Tasting notes

Pale straw in colour, the nose reveals delicate aromas of peach and green apple. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and refreshingly crisp, with a touch of sweetness and a clean, lingering finish.
