Meet the producer
The Scacciadiavoli estate, founded in 1881, is one of the oldest in the Montefalco region of Umbria, combining tradition with modern winemaking techniques.

Production
Made from 100% Sagrantino, the grapes undergo extended maceration of one month on skins, resulting in a full-bodied yet smooth wine. Fermentation takes place in large, old French oak vats, followed by 50% barrel ageing (15% new), allowing oxygen to soften the powerful structure and integrate the tannins.

Tasting notes
Inky black in colour with aromas of deep black fruit, cassis, and spice. The palate is full-bodied with firm, well-integrated tannins, complemented by ripe black fruit, mineral notes, herbs, and subtle spice.

Pairs excellently with hearty meals or strong, mature cheeses, though it is versatile enough to enjoy on its own.
