Rustenberg Malbec is a vibrant and expressive South African Malbec crafted in the renowned Stellenbosch region. Careful vineyard management and selective harvesting ensure fruit of outstanding quality, which undergoes fermentation designed to highlight varietal purity and supple tannin structure. Rustenberg Estate, with a history dating back to 1682, is one of South Africa’s most respected wineries. Family‑owned and dedicated to traditional winemaking, Rustenberg combines heritage with innovation, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Stellenbosch. Production

Grapes are hand‑selected from estate vineyards to ensure optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with gentle extraction to preserve fruit character and varietal definition. The wine is then matured in French oak barrels, balancing ripe fruit with subtle spice and enhancing texture and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple in colour, Rustenberg Malbec opens with aromas of blackberry, plum and violets, layered with hints of pepper and tobacco. The palate is medium‑bodied yet generous, offering juicy dark fruit, fine tannins and a supple mouthfeel. Notes of spice and mocha linger on the finish, giving the wine both elegance and depth.
