The Ricasoli family has been crafting wine in Tuscany since 1141, making it one of the oldest and most storied estates in Italy. Their Gran Selezione Crus represent the pinnacle of Chianti Classico winemaking, each sourced from a distinct vineyard and expressing the unique character of Sangiovese through soil, climate, and heritage. This gift case brings together three exceptional wines from the acclaimed 2018 vintage, with labels inspired by the Ricasoli family tree dating back to 1584.

Viticulture

Each cru is grown on a distinct soil type that shapes its personality:

• Colledilà: Clayey-limestone soil, rich in calcium carbonate and densely stony—one of the most representative terroirs of Chianti Classico.
• Roncicone: Sandy deposits with sea-smoothed stones, offering minerality and finesse.
• CeniPrimo: Alluvial soils from the River Arbia valley, contributing depth and complexity.

All vineyards are cultivated with precision to highlight the natural expression of Sangiovese, with low yields and careful canopy management.

Winemaking

Each wine is vinified separately using traditional methods, with fermentation in stainless steel and ageing in French oak. The focus is on purity, structure, and longevity. These Gran Selezione bottlings are 100% Sangiovese, selected from the finest parcels and aged to reveal the full potential of each site.
