Meet the Producer

This wine is produced by Résonance Wines, the Oregon estate of Maison Louis Jadot, one of Burgundy’s most respected producers. Under the guidance of winemaker Guillaume Large, Résonance combines Burgundian craftsmanship with the distinctive soils and climate of the Willamette Valley, creating wines that are both authentic and contemporary.

Production

The Pinot Noir grapes are sourced from the Résonance Vineyard, planted in 1981 on ungrafted rootstock, as well as select sites across the Willamette Valley. The region’s volcanic soils and cool climate provide ideal conditions for Pinot Noir, delivering fruit with purity and intensity. Grapes are hand‑harvested and carefully sorted before fermentation, with ageing for around fifteen months in French oak barrels, approximately thirty percent of which are new. This approach enhances structure and complexity while preserving freshness and terroir expression.

Tasting Notes

Résonance Pinot Noir opens with aromas of wild strawberry, mulberry and floral notes, layered with black cherry, cranberry and subtle spice. The palate is medium‑bodied, showing ripe fruit alongside earthy and savoury undertones, with hints of espresso, bitter chocolate and cedar. A mineral streak runs through the wine, adding precision and length. The finish is long, elegant and balanced, with fine tannins and a touch of smokiness.

Food Pairing

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with dishes such as roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto and charcuterie. Its balance of fruit, savoury depth and minerality also makes it an excellent choice for refined dining and festive occasions.
