Redbreast is the definitive expression of Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, a style safeguarded and nurtured at Midleton Distillery for almost two centuries. Made from a mash bill of malted and unmalted barley sourced from farms in the Munster region, and using soft, clear water from the Dungourney River, Redbreast is recognised as the world's most awarded Single Pot Still whiskey and a living legacy of Irish distilling tradition.

Distillery and Maturation

The Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is triple distilled in the traditional Single Pot Still style before being finished in Moscatel wine casks, hand-selected by Master Blender David McCabe from across the Iberian peninsula. The Moscatel cask finish imparts a fresh, floral, and fruit-driven character that sits alongside the classic pot still spice and oak of the Redbreast house style. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration.

Tasting Notes

Nose: A fresh and floral balance of zesty fruits with dustings of nutmeg and rich vanilla oak.
Taste: Vibrant fruits combined with textured layers of toffee and honeycomb, subtle undertones of dried herbs, all while the oak remains consistent throughout.
Finish: Pot still spices and wine-seasoned oak lingering until the very end.
