The name — ‘two estates’ — tells you everything: this wine is a marriage of fruit from Quinta de Ervamoira, a rocky, sun-drenched estate on the banks of the river Côa, and Quinta do Bons Ares, a cooler, higher-altitude granite vineyard that brings freshness and aromatic lift. Vineyard & Production

Grapes are hand-harvested plot by plot from two contrasting estates. At the winery, they are destemmed, gently crushed, and directed to a variety of fermentation vessels — lagares, oak vats, concrete, and stainless steel — selected to suit the character of each plot. Extended maceration enhances body and structure. After fermentation, 20% is matured in French oak barrels, 30% in French oak casks and vats, and 50% in stainless steel for approximately 12 months.

Tasting Notes

Dark red, clean, and bright. Fresh berries — blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry — on the nose, complemented by gentle spice and warm, toasty notes. The palate is concentrated and vibrant, with pronounced fruit intensity, soft tannins, and a long, balanced finish.

Perfect Pairings

Versatile enough for a wide range of dishes. Excellent with roast beef, grilled lamb, hearty vegetarian meals, and a cheese course. The wine’s freshness also makes it a surprisingly good match for grilled fish.
