Founded in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest and most respected estates in the Douro Valley. Known for combining tradition with modern precision, Vallado produces Ports and still wines of exceptional quality. Their aged tawnies come from carefully maintained old stocks, blended to achieve harmony, richness, and the signature finesse of long‑aged wood‑matured Port.

Tasting Notes
Deep amber‑mahogany in colour, the wine opens with an intense bouquet of dried figs, caramel, toasted nuts, orange peel, and subtle spice. The palate is velvety and concentrated, offering layers of toffee, walnut, dried fruit, honeyed richness, and a touch of balsamic depth. Bright acidity lifts the sweetness, creating a refined, harmonious balance. The finish is exceptionally long, elegant, and complex, with lingering notes of caramelized fruit and roasted nuts.

Food Pairing
Serve slightly chilled at 12–14°C. Outstanding with blue cheese, roasted nuts, crème brûlée, dried‑fruit desserts, or rich chocolate dishes. Its depth and maturity also make it a superb contemplative wine to enjoy on its own.
