Founded in 1919 in the Mesogaia plain near Athens, Domaine Papagiannakos is now in its third generation of family ownership. The estate is widely recognised for reimagining indigenous Greek grape varieties with modern precision, bringing authentic and elegant wines to the global stage.

Vineyard & Production

The fruit is sourced from seven blocks of 50-year-old, low-yielding, unirrigated Savatiano vines planted in limestone soils. Situated on north-facing slopes at an altitude of 100 metres in Markopoulo, the vineyard enjoys optimal light and cooling breezes. Hand-harvested in mid-September, the grapes undergo a cool, controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 17°C for around 20 days to preserve aromatic purity and natural acidity.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, it presents a bright, pale gold colour. The nose is perfumed and peachy, filled with delicate white floral aromas. On the palate, it is broad and textured, offering layers of ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and Mediterranean herbs. A gentle saline edge cuts through the weight of the wine, finishing clean, complex, and extraordinarily refreshing.
