Another fantastic wine from Citizen Wines, crafted in the heart of Vinho Verd country, O Lado Bom celebrates the region’s tradition of producing lively, low‑alcohol wines with natural freshness. The focus is on purity, fruit expression and drinkability, using local grape varieties and modern winemaking to create wines that feel effortless and uplifting.

Production

The grapes come from 30+ year old trellised vines planted on granite and clay soils. After manual harvesting and careful cluster selection, the fruit is fully destemmed and pressed to obtain free‑run juice only. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at 12–14°C to preserve aromatics, followed by four months on fine lees for added texture and mouthfeel. The result is a crisp, delicate rosé with subtle spritz and vibrant fruit.

Tasting Notes

Fresh wild strawberry, redcurrant and pink grapefruit leap from the glass. The palate is light, zesty and gently sparkling, with bright acidity and a clean, refreshing finish. Juicy, playful and wonderfully moreish.
