Domaine Machard de Gramont is a 20-hectare family-run estate based in Prissey, a neighbouring hamlet of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Managed by Arnaud Machard de Gramont and his sons Alban and Alexis, the domaine is known for its expressive, terroir-driven wines from across the Côte de Nuits. With holdings in prestigious appellations and a commitment to traditional winemaking, the estate produces wines of elegance, depth, and authenticity.

Production

“En La Perrière Noblot” is a lieu-dit where the domaine is the principal landowner, with 1.7 hectares of late-ripening vines, some over 50 years old, planted on limestone soils. The 2020 vintage was aged in 30% new oak barrels, 40% French and 60% American, to enhance complexity and texture. The wine is crafted to highlight the site’s mineral character and the richness of the fruit.

Tasting notes

Very dark and limpid in colour, the nose is firm, feral, and exotic, with concentrated stewed black fruits, sweet spice, and a touch of minerality. The palate opens lush and generous, with mulberry and mocha notes balanced by limestone freshness. The finish is powerful and structured, rounded by ripe fruit and vibrant acidity.

Food match

Ideal with roast duck, venison, or wild mushroom risotto. Its depth and tension also make it a fine match for truffle dishes or aged cheeses.
