Vineyard & Production

The grapes are hand-harvested from select old-vine parcels in McLaren Vale, where the Mediterranean microclimate and ancient soils produce grapes with immense depth and complexity. Upon arrival at the winery, the fruit is destemmed and crushed into open fermenters. Fermentation occurs under controlled conditions with regular cap management to extract rich colour and supple tannins. Following pressing, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for up to twelve months in American oak barrels (predominantly new and second-fill) before careful barrel selection and bottling.
