Domaine Moillard Côte de Nuits-Villages is a refined expression of Pinot Noir from the prestigious Côte de Nuits, known for producing elegant and terroir-driven wines. The estate is celebrated for its finesse and ability to translate the nuances of its vineyards into expressive red wines.

Vinification

Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo traditional vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Pre-fermentation cold maceration ensures delicate extraction, followed by long fermentation with regular pigeages and pumping over. The wine is then aged on fine lees in oak barrels (15% new) for 12 months to develop complexity and structure.

Tasting notes

Deep red with garnet hints, the nose reveals subtle red fruit aromas with elegant oak influence. On the palate, the wine is delicate yet substantial, with well-integrated tannins and a steady, toasted finish.

Food match

Ideal with white meats such as rabbit, as well as lamb, duck, and grilled meats. Works surprisingly well with sweet-and-sour or lightly spiced dishes like duck with orange, and moderately strong cheeses including Camembert, Saint Paulin, Morbier, and Reblochon.
