A splendid Chardonnay from the Clos de Loyse vineyard on the Chteau Jacques estate. This barrel fermented and barrel aged wine has a rich toasty and creamy nose while the palate is smooth and balanced with great poise. Louis Jadot purchased the Chteau des Jacques estate in Moulin Vent at the end of 1996. The estate is well known as one of the most prestigious in Beaujolais and is made up of 5 different "clos" totalling 20.4 ha, which are now all vinified seperately. The property includes 9 ha of Chardonnay vines that make this very individual wine.
