Vineyard & Production

Fruit is hand-picked from three historic vineyard sites: two located on the western ridge at Seppeltsfield and one on the valley floor in Nuriootpa. Each plot is fermented separately using wild yeasts, incorporating 18 to 20 percent whole bunches alongside whole berries for enhanced aromatic complexity. Following a controlled 10 to 12 day fermentation, the wine is gently basket-pressed into seasoned French oak hogsheads. After aging for 12 months, the finest barrels are selected, blended, and bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

In the glass, it displays a radiant ruby-garnet hue. The nose opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe black cherry aromas reminiscent of freshly squeezed juice, beautifully layered with subtle hints of cinnamon, sweet clove, and wild flowers. The palate is rich yet wonderfully lifted, delivering a pure core of bright red fruit framed by fine, supple tannins.
