Meet the producer

Founded in 1885, Langlois-Chateau is one of the Loire’s most respected sparkling wine producers. Since joining the Bollinger family in 1973, the house has become renowned for precision winemaking and terroir expression, crafting Crémants that rival Champagne in quality and finesse.

Production

Sourced from the chalky-clay soils of Montreuil Bellay and Puy Notre Dame, areas celebrated for outstanding Cabernet Franc, the grapes are carefully hand-picked in 25kg crates and gently pressed using pneumatic presses. Vinification takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatics and freshness.

The second fermentation occurs in the bottle, following the traditional method, and the wine matures on its lees for a minimum of 18 months in Langlois’ extensive freestone cellars, spanning over 6 km. This extended ageing imparts finesse, complexity, and a fine, persistent mousse.

Tasting notes

Delicate pale pink with copper highlights. Aromas of vine peach and fresh red fruits lead into a palate that is vibrant, full-bodied, and fruity, carried by elegant bubbles and finishing long and refreshing.

Food match

Serve well chilled at 8–10°C. Ideal as an original aperitif, it also pairs beautifully with fresh berry desserts, fruit tarts, or canapés featuring smoked salmon or cured meats.
