Meet the producer

Founded in 1685, Klein Constantia is one of South Africa’s most historic and prestigious wine estates, set between the slopes of Table Mountain and the False Bay coast. The estate is internationally acclaimed for its wines, particularly its iconic sweet wine, Vin de Constance, but its Sauvignon Blanc has also built a reputation for quality and precision.

Production

The 2022 vintage was crafted from carefully selected Sauvignon Blanc vines grown on decomposed granite soils. Grapes were harvested by hand in the cool of the morning, gently pressed, and fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel to preserve aromatics. A portion was aged on fine lees for added texture and complexity.

Tasting notes

Bright and pale in colour, this Sauvignon Blanc bursts with aromas of citrus, passionfruit, and elderflower, layered with subtle saline and mineral undertones. The palate is crisp and vibrant, with lively acidity carrying flavours of lime zest, green apple, and tropical fruit to a refreshing, lingering finish.

Food match

Perfect as an aperitif or paired with oysters, sushi, grilled fish, goat cheese, or fresh summer salads. Best served well chilled at 8–10°C.
