After careful harvesting, the fruit undergoes cold static settling before a long, cool fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the wine’s floral intensity and citrus-driven freshness. The result is a crisp, elegant Sancerre with power, balance, and a beautifully structured finish.

Meet the Producer

La Gravelière forms part of a long-established Sancerre estate devoted to capturing the purity of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Their approach is rooted in environmentally responsible viticulture, with vineyard work tailored to each parcel to reflect the nuances of the region’s diverse soils.

Production

Grapes are harvested with great care to maintain aromatic integrity. Cold settling clarifies the juice naturally before fermentation begins. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks, a method chosen to protect the delicate aromatics and highlight the wine’s bright minerality and precision.

Tasting Notes

The wine opens with an expressive nose of floral notes, passion fruit and orange zest. On the palate, it is fresh and finely textured, with a graceful balance between vibrant acidity and structural depth. The finish is clean, lifted and distinctly mineral.
