Launched in 1999 to showcase the Hahn family’s legacy of Barossa old vine vineyards. Dense ruby and purple in colour, with a heady aromatic profile of ripe plums, coffee, and bitter chocolate. Richly fruited with plum and mulberry notes, a deep undertone of black earth, and hints of sweet oak. Gentle tannins provide structure and guide the wine to a long, satisfying finish.

Vineyard & Terroir
Old vine Shiraz from the Barossa Valley, Australia. Mild temperatures and good rainfall during the 2022 growing season resulted in concentrated fruit and well-preserved acidity.

Winemaking
Harvested before dawn, 100% whole berry fermentation in traditional open fermenters for ~10 days. Pressed to tank to finish fermentation, then matured in seasoned USA and French oak hogsheads for ~14 months. Bottled un-fined and unfiltered.

Ripe plums, mulberries, coffee, bitter chocolate, black earth, gentle tannins, lingering finish.

Ideal with roasted lamb, beef, and rich game dishes.
