Green Spot Montelena begins its life in traditional sherry and bourbon casks before spending 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Chateau Montelena. Those Zinfandel grapes, nurtured in Napa Valley's rich volcanic soil and harvested by hand in the cool of night, bring ripe, spicy berry flavours to the casks, and in turn to the whiskey. The finish adds pomegranate, cranberry, and maraschino cherry to the classic Green Spot pot still character, creating something that is both familiar and entirely new.

Palate: Sweet and mouth-coating, taking on a dry note from the wine cask influence. Pot still spices subside with zesty citrus leading to ripe orchard fruit and red berries. A touch of marzipan and toasted oak add complexity. Finish: Long and harmonious, combining classic pot still spice with a delicate Zinfandel wine influence.
