Founded in 1835, González Byass is one of the most prestigious names in Jerez. Still family-owned, the house is internationally recognised for its mastery of Sherry production and its commitment to quality, tradition and innovation.

Production

Made from Palomino grapes grown on the region’s distinctive albariza soils, the wine is aged in the traditional solera system. A carefully judged addition of sweet wine creates a medium style that retains freshness while offering gentle richness and depth.

Tasting notes

Bright amber in colour with golden highlights. Aromas of dried fruits, toffee and toasted nuts are complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and caramel. On the palate, the wine is smooth and rounded, with balanced sweetness, soft acidity and a lingering, nutty finish.

Food match

Excellent with pâtés, mature cheeses, cured meats and nuts. Also pairs well with lightly spiced dishes, roasted vegetables, or fruit-based desserts. Delicious served slightly chilled as an aperitif or after a meal.
