In 1865, Glenfarclas distillery, nestled in the heart of Speyside, was purchased by a cattle breeder by the name of John Grant. A hundred years later, in the 1960s, the Grant family were at the heart of a revolution in the world of whisky, as distilleries began to hone in on their own unique styles and bottle under their own Single Malt labels. This 53 Year Old Single Cask comes from a pivotal time in the history of not only Glenfarclas, but the whisky trade as whole.

This single cask whisky from Glenfarclas has been aged 53 years in a first fill Oloroso Sherry Cask. The colour, flavours and aromas provide a snapshot of the time that this cask was laid. Bottled in a limited release of 168 decanters at 42.1%, Pol Roger Portfolio has saved this whisky before the angels take almost all of their share.
