GlenDronach Parliament 21 Year Old is a standout expression from one of Scotland’s most revered distilleries, nestled in the valley of Forgue in the East Highlands. This single malt is matured for twenty-one years in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, resulting in a deeply complex and indulgent whisky. The name “Parliament” refers not to politics, but to the colony of rooks that have nested in the trees surrounding the GlenDronach distillery for nearly two centuries—a nod to the distillery’s heritage and natural setting.

On the nose, it opens with aromas of dark rum-soaked stone fruits such as plums, peaches, and apricots, layered with sweet sherry richness and hints of white pepper, Brazil nuts, and polished oak. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, delivering flavours of rich fruitcake, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee beans, balanced by warming spices and a touch of walnut. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of dried fruit, spice, and elegant tannins.
