This limited release is part of the acclaimed Exceptional Cask Selection series and has been matured for 16 years, with 10 years in ex‑Bourbon casks followed by 6 years in ex‑Tawny Port casks. The dual maturation brings together the depth and structure of American oak with the rich, jammy sweetness of seasoned port wood, resulting in a rum of remarkable complexity and balance.

On the nose, Mandamus opens with a rush of blackberries, ripe pineapple, tart plum and cherries, layered with hints of cocoa and cedar. The palate is rich and expressive, delivering flavours of dark chocolate, caramel, citrus sponge and blackberry pie filling, alongside notes of dried apricot, fresh coconut and orange peel.
