False Bay Whole Bunch Cinsault Mourvèdre Rosé comes from low-yielding coastal vineyards in South Africa, where old bush-vine Cinsault and a touch of Mourvèdre are delicately whole-bunch basket pressed to capture only the purest juice. The result is a pale, savoury, and textural rosé with vibrant summer fruit and refreshing minerality – a beautifully balanced, versatile wine perfect for food or casual drinking.

Meet the Producer

False Bay Vineyards, founded by Paul Boutinot of Waterkloof, is dedicated to producing authentic wines with minimal intervention. Using sustainably farmed vineyards, wild fermentations, and traditional methods, they craft wines that are honest, expressive, and full of character.

Production

Sourced primarily from old bush-vine Cinsault in Stellenbosch and Swartland, with a small proportion of Mourvèdre from Stellenbosch adding savoury depth. The grapes are hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented with wild yeast in stainless steel and large wooden foudres. The wine rests on its lees for at least three months before bottling. No additions are made other than sulphur. Vegan-friendly and sustainably produced.

Tasting Notes

A pale, delicate rosé with aromas of summer fruits and subtle spice. The palate is textural and savoury with fresh red berry flavours, crisp acidity, and a clean, dry finish.
