Don't Tell Gary Shiraz is a striking Victorian Shiraz crafted with passion and precision. Dark garnet in colour, it offers a rich bouquet of black cherry, blueberry, and mixed spice, with subtle hints of pepper and soft oak beautifully integrated with ripe blackberry fruits. Medium-bodied with silky tannins, this Shiraz is elegant, expressive, and perfectly balanced.

Meet the producer

McPherson Wines, under the guidance of winemaker Joanne Nash, sources only premium Victorian Shiraz grapes. Known for her minimal intervention approach, Joanne focuses on purity of fruit and careful winemaking to produce wines of exceptional quality and character.

Production

The grapes are harvested from selected premium parcels and gently crushed. Primary fermentation is followed by maturation in 500L French oak puncheons, with 80% new and 20% one-year-old barrels, allowing the wine to undergo malolactic fermentation and develop structure and complexity. Minimal intervention throughout preserves the wine’s natural expression.

Tasting notes

On the nose, the wine is vibrant with black cherry, blueberry, and spice notes. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, showing blackberry fruit, integrated oak, and soft, elegant tannins. The finish is long, refined, and expressive.
