Eric Marchand grew up immersed in the vineyards, learning from his parents and developing a profound respect for the land. After studying viticulture, he and his brother Pascal took over the family estate. Across their 17-hectare vineyard, the brothers follow a philosophy of minimum intervention, employing green harvests and debudding in spring to carefully manage vine vigour and improve fruit quality. Their dedication results in Pouilly Fumé wines that are concentrated yet balanced, expressing crisp gooseberry and blackcurrant leaf aromas complemented by subtle citrus and mineral notes.

Viticulture

The estate spans 17 hectares, with vines averaging 25 years old and trained in the simple Guyot system. Minimum intervention is practised, with fertiliser only applied when necessary, and treatments are strictly limited. Spring green harvests and debudding further enhance quality, while cover crops help regulate vigour and yield, encouraging naturally concentrated fruit.

Winemaking

The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled conditions over 18–20 days, allowing full expression of varietal purity.

Tasting Note

This Pouilly Fumé is a complex, concentrated wine, displaying crisp gooseberry and blackcurrant leaf aromas layered with delicate citrus and mineral notes. The palate is elegant and focused, finishing long with hints of flint and ripe apple.
